We have been active in the Japanese market since 1993 and were one of the very first European Companies to supply timber to Japan.
 
We are not a Trading Company in Japan, we are bone-fide Agents for many European sawmills; both very large companies with productions in excess of 300,000 m3 p.a. and very small companies with perhaps no more than 2,500 m3 p.a. The sawmills fund our activities by paying a small commission, which is always included in the price that they offer. Therefore there is no extra cost what so ever as far as the Buyers are concerned. Buyers can for no cost at all enjoy the benefit of the wide range of Nason Davis Ltd's timber experience.
 
Over the last 17 years we have gone from strength to strength in Japan broadening the product range that we handle considerably. We have in 2002 established our own office in Ikeburukyo, a Tokyo suburb, which is staffed by experienced Japanese nationals. Toru Kobayashi has a wealth of Timber experience and has travelled to Europe on many occasions over the years to check quality and escort Japanese buyers around our supplying mills.
 
Whenever we establish a new product line or take on board a new supplying mill, we always make very sure of the quality by making pre shipment inspections and reporting to both Buyers and producers our findings.
 
 
We supply both Redwood and Whitewood Lamina from Sweden, the Baltic States and Russia, Mabashira, Taruki & Zai-ri sizes. Pallet wood in Birch, Pallet bearers in softwood.

We are suppliers of CLS (Dimension Lumber) especially for the DIY Trade, we supply many Non-European Standard metric sizes and even small P.E.T. house components.

As a consequence of our long standing experience in the Japanese Timber business our Buyers can have a large degree of confidence in using us as their buying channel knowing full well that we are totally au fait with the quality and service the market demands.
 
By the same token our supplying mills can also have confidence in our market knowledge and benefit from the production advice that we are able to give keeping them clear of potential problems in plying their wares in Japan.
 
We provide our Buyers with regular updated shipping schedule information, by both telephone and of course electronically (E mail).
